Over the last week or so we have come up with a Family Motto. It contains things that we are working on in our family. It has been effective thus far when they are not doing one of the things that Boersma's do. They love to recite it during happy times too like in the car, at family night, and before bed.
"The Boersma's are nice the Boersma's are happy, we care, and we share, and we never ever swear."
Well today Brooke was having a difficult time sharing. So I was went through the Motto while she was going trough a minor temper tantrum. She looked up at Tevan and I and in her grumpiest little voice she said "but, I want to swear."

That is absolutely hilarious! I love the things kids say! I love the idea of a family motto too. I'll have to make a Nelson Family Motto!
