Things Addie thinks of...

Last night at bedtime Addie looked out side and said "Mom I have a wonderful idea. How about we get the picnic blanket out and go look for shooting stars." While we were out there she asked me to sing songs from when I was a child.

This morning she woke up and crawled into to bed with Spencer and I. She played with him for who knows how long. She finally woke me up and told me she was hungry. I told her to go make breakfast. The next thing I knew was she was bringing me breakfast in bed. Peanut butter on bread. I am a lucky mom!

Just a few minutes ago she asked me to draw her a picture. You have to understand that my pictures have not evolved from stick figures. She draws elaborate pictures of princesses with jewelery and hair doo dads, teeth, flowers, eye lashes, hats, beautiful shoes... Well she said Mom I think your drawings are better than mine (when clearly they are not) will you draw me a picture. Then after I drew it she said she thought I could do better with color crayons.

She loves her school. I am surprised to hear that in the 3 hours she is at school she has a quiet/ nap time there? She seems to love it so far.

Mari, I always loved your drawings-should I get another pack of crayons for the art drawer and put your name on them? xoxoxo Mom
