Every year, at the beginning of December, we go to our family friends, Mary, house. Her house has been the place that my parents reception, along with our wedding reception, and my sister Cindy and her husband Bobby. I guess it started when my parents asked if they could use her house for their reception. She said they could if they would get the lights cleaned. They not only did it that year, but they have done it every year since. Tevan and I have done it almost every year. Two years ago we missed it because Tevan was getting his appendix removed while they were slaving away.
So they have florescent lights that have custom made coverings. So every year we go and we take down all of the covering, vacuum, clean, and put back the light covering. Some years have been easier than others. This year we had a ton of help and even did double duty on the cleaning and the removal of the lights and were able to get it done in 47 minutes, which is a world record!!!
Mary is always very grateful that we come, she says it is the nicest thing anyone does for her all year. She always feeds us dinner and has a lot of yummy deserts. She also has Mandarin oranges there too. We just love her to pieces. I have many childhood memories vested in her and her home.
Here is my Dad putting up the light cover. There are many more in the house. This is just a little sample of her house!

Here is Tevan Vacuuming out the cobwebs.

Here is my mom and Mary's Grand daughter cleaning the light covers.

Here is Ricky and Bobby taking a break from removing the covers and delivering them.

Cindy made an awesome librarian. I am proud to announce that this year we were so efficient that there was no swearing at the misplacement of the covers.
