On July 23rd my Uncle Jim (James) Gettys was laid to rest with full military honors. We got to have a bagpiper there and some soldiers come and fold a flag and give it to my Aunt. It was indeed a very special burial. The girls were angels and sat very quietly, Spencer does not know how to be quiet during quiet times and had to be taken away. I think silent ceremonies makes him feel uncomfortable or it is just his time to shine because he can go a long time at home being quiet but as soon as it is something important like a burial or a church ceremony he decides it is his time to express his newly found loud voice. Needless to say I was pretty embarrassed with my 2 year old's behavior. I just wished he would act how he acts 90 % of the time as a sweet mellow boy who loves to cuddle with his mommy.
Anyhow, I am sure he will get over that soon. Uncle Jim is buried and we had a nice time with the family on that day. After we went to a Mediterranean restaurant where I had a chicken shish kabob and Tevan had a lamb burger, Addie had a cheese pizza and Brookie had a chicken vegetable soup. Spencer finally fell asleep.
