I just thought I would send out our Halloween costumes. We all dressed up in Wizard of Oz theme. Mari was dressed as a witch, but I did not get a picture taken because I was one of the people in charge of the church activity. Tevan was the Uncle farmer, Spencer was a munchkin and was part of the Lollypop Guild. He did very well at sampling all lollypops in sight. Brookie was another munchkin and was part of the Lullaby League. She was really excited about Halloween and getting to wear her costume. Addie was Dorothy and as it turned out she was not the only one at the party dressed as Dorothy. A girl from her Brownie group was also Dorothy along with her friends cousin.
Usually we decorate our trunks of our cars and hand out candy, but we decided since it was supposed to rain we would have it inside. So we decorated the class rooms at church instead. We had an awesome turnout that day. We had more people there than we had chairs at the tables for our chili cook off. It is a way to have a safe Halloween.
Since Halloween was on a Sunday this year we were invited to a friends house and sat around and told stories about our ancestors. I think that is a tradition I would like to keep going. Addie and I have started to print up some of the stories that I have. She loves to hear the stories so we are making her a family history binder. This week Addie has been extremly sick. She has had fevers in 102 to 103 degree. She also has a nasty cough and has been out of energy. I took her to the Dr's yesterday and have an X-Ray ordered if she does not get over this any time soon. It is just weird to see her so wiped out for so long. Keep her in your prayers please. Needless to say she had some very light days at school this week. I hope she is recovered for next week because we are going to Apple Hill and to 6 Flags and then all of Tevan's Sisters are coming into town to celebrate birthdays. I also hope everyone else remains flu free.
Brookie this week: I got her a venus fly trap and she has been trapping flies, taking their wings off and putting them in her container. On Monday she had a lizard that she caught in the morning and I asked her to take it out side. So she went out side and a while later she came in. I noticed she had a lizard and so I had her take it out and she was out side for a while and came back in. We went through this repeatedly all day. Each time I thought she actually obeyed and got rid of the lizard. That was when I heard her and Spencer fighting over this pink little purse she has. Spencer got a hold of it and I opened it and out jumped a big fat pregnant lizard. I told her that If I saw that lizard again she did not want to know what was going to happen to it and she had 20 seconds to get it out of my house.
Spencer: I think he is picking up on the 2 thing. He is usually so sweet and nice but he has learned the word now. He says things like unlock the door NOW NOW NOW. Or give it to me now. He has been sneaking into bed with us at night and I am loosing sleep being squished between him and Tevan. Then Brookie decided that she was having night mare this week and was sleeping at the foot of our bed. So I bought Spencer some really soft and cuddly footy pj's and told Brookie not to come in at night unless it was an emergency like she or one of her siblings were sick or hurt. Last night I actually got sleep. Spencer slept until 8:30 on his bed with out coming in at 4 am to snuggle.
