We got to go to Chicago, while we were in the area. The building were so large. I was amazed at how many movies use the Chicago skyline for their movies. We drove up and down the streets for a few hours. Finally we bit the bullet and paid for parking. It was 10 dollars for the first, 20 for 2-5 and 37 for a whole day. Yikes! They were filming Doom 3 there that day. So we had to wait for them to finish filming.
While walking down the street I stopped what looked to be a police officer to ask her where a pizza place was. She turned out to be an actress in the movie. We went to Pizano's Pizza to get deep dish pizza and walked to the Millennial park and saw the giant bean and had pizza in the park. It was such a great day. Later, we drove out of town to a beach and found free parking. The kids played at the park. When we went to the beach they had a charge of 8 dollars per adult and 6 per child. We went and got ice cream instead.
