I have lived the last 6 years with out any type of schedule. I have not always been on top of having my house clean. Some times I wonder what the point of cleaning is. Often I will clean something and two seconds later it is not in it's proper place. Like I will fold laundry and one of my sweet darling children will dump it over. I will mop the floor and there will be something spilt on it. I will do dishes only to make dinner and have to do it all over again. Some times I get behind. Recently I have really gotten behind. I have had piles of dishes. There have been days where I have not cleaned the girls room for a week or so. I just have not cared. Last week I did laundry, but it never got out of the baskets until this week. I still need to hang up clothes. I know a big part of it is being sleep deprived and I hold Spencer a lot. Another part is that I have been lazy.
Well I have started to do things that have been helping. Each month I make a food calender for dinner. Then once a month I take a trip to Winco and buy everything but the produce and some of the meat.
I have been trying to do dishes at least once a day!
I try to have the front room picked up by the time Addie gets home from school. Also, when we go to bed.
A few weeks ago I put a lot of the problem toys way up high (the dress ups and the little legos which had been in a basket where the kids could reach them. By kids I mean Addie and Brooke and their cousins who are over here often. I have a random toy basket low along with books, but the other toys are out of reach.
Today I am going through boxes in the garage. They are left over from the move...
Also since it is starting to get colder out side I went through the girls dressers and got rid of some of their older or summer clothes.
A few days my friend told me about a website called Flylady.net . I have been working on that too. The premise of the site is that when you clean you don't necessarily have to be perfect at it. It stresses decluttering, to get into a schedule, and to have quick cleaning sessions. I like that. It give me hope.

Oh boy... I'm right there with you on the lazy thing and I only have one kid to clean up after! You must be wonderwoman to manage any cleaning at all with three kids! Routine is a good idea. I should be better organized. Thanks for the advice!
Wow, that website sounds awesome. I'll be sure to check it out. I definately need help with the house cleaning with five kids running around daily. Being pregnant I don't get much done either. I'm scared it will be worse after having the baby. :)
As for a belly picture I'll post one sometime next week. Stay tuned.
