Sky Diving ROCKS!

Today I had the wonderful opportunity to go Skydiving. I actually did not wake up and think that I was going that day. But... I knew my mom and sister were going up in Lodi so I took the kids to the air port. As it happened both of my Grandma were there and were able to take such lovely photos and watch the kids. Tevan did not even know (until later) that I was going.

First when I got there I signed my life away saying that I would not sue and I recognized there is a risk. I watched a movie showing me how to cross my arms and where to put my legs when you jump out and how to land. Then I met my jump Buddie. His name was Blaine. He suited me up and made sure I was all strapped properly. He let me choose what color of a parachute I wanted. I got a brand new one. It was blue. That is my favorite color. Then we went out to the  shuttle and hopped on the plane. It was fun seeing this area from up in the plane. I was able to see friends houses from up there. It was a pretty clear day.

They have gotten a new plane since the last time I was there. I went in August 2005 (when I was barely pregnant with Brookie, I did not know) and I was really glad to have a parachute on that plane. It had holes in it. The plane I rode on today was nice and new.

Anyhow Cindy went first, then a bunch of single jumpers, my mom, and then I was my turn. I got up to the jump door put my feet on the ledge, crossed my arms and we were out! Oh I loved the feeling of dropping so quickly. I guess I am an adrenaline junkie. I guess since we had a new parachute it took longer to open up and I was the first to land out of my family, even though I was the last to leave. But the chute did go and it was really nice to be able to move my arms one way or another to help control what we did. I was really happy not to land or even go over 99. For some reason that scared me last time. It was just a really nice time going down.

The landing was really nice. The girls were in the waiting area watching for me and that was a lot of fun. Spencer was good for my Grandma's. Then I got to watch Cindy and my Mom land!  I had a great time! My only complaint was my ear hurting and that was taken care of pretty easily by plugging my nose and softly blowing out!
